The Journey Staff

Pastor Kyle, Senior Pastor
I am continually humbled by the opportunity to serve as a pastor in God’s Church. I count it a privilege to be able to come alongside God’s people as we seek to know and love and serve our God.
Understanding the depth and breadth of God’s word is a never-ending venture. Scripture paints a picture of God’s character, the world he created for us, the beautiful kingdom he is calling us into, as well as who we are as a redeemed community. Discovering the beauty of these things in God’s Word and connecting it with God’s people is what most excites me about being a pastor.
I had the privilege of receiving my B.A. in Biblical Studies at Bethel University (St. Paul), as well as my M.Div. at North Park Seminary (Chicago).
Lindsay and I have been married for 14 years and have two wonderful children, Elias (8) and Ariana (5).

Heather Perkins, Worship Director

The corporate worship of our amazing God is one of the greatest blessings of the Christian faith. I consider it an honor to partner with a wonderful, growing team of worshippers at The Journey both on the stage and in the congregation.

My family includes my husband of 32 years, Glen, my son, Adam, and a grand-dog Sterling. My occupational background is in Human Resources and I hold a BA in Psychology from Wheaton College and an MA in Human Resources from Webster University. In December, 2017 I hope to graduate from North Park Seminary with a Master’s in Christian Formation.  Daytime finds me employed at Wichita State University‚Äôs downtown campus awash in a sea of contracts and spreadsheets.

My vocational background includes years of enjoying, leading, and participating in music, both within and outside of the church. While there are many parts of the Worship Director role I enjoy, I am particularly passionate about assisting in the worship planning process and mentoring others as they develop their God-given talents.
