Journey Prayer

Prayer is a mystery.Jesus modeled it. The apostles encouraged it. Scripture commands it. That it's a good thing to do is clear. What it is, exactly, is not as clear. One certainty is that prayer is a pathway to knowing God - the primary means through which personal relationship develops. From the foundation of this relationship, faith is built.
At The Journey, prayer is encouraged and experienced in a number of ways:
- Each week, a team of intercessors commits to praying for requests submitted from the congregation. In addition, intercessory prayer is offered on an occasional basis following worship services. - The congregation maintains a prayer journal. This journal is designed to be used as a diary of the prayers and praises offered up to God, and serves as a reminder of His faithfulness over time. Everyone is encouraged to submit entries into this journal as well as to review what others have written in order to join in the cconversation. - The prayer team publishes a blog. The blog does not attempt to define the undefinable or provide answers that are known only to God. Rather, the intent is to provide a forum for the exchange of thought, experience and revelation regarding prayer in order that we may all be enlightened, challenged and encouraged to continue the walk toward God, as made manifest in his son, Jesus Christ, through the workings of the Holy Spirit.
